Haggai Chapter 1
Haggai encouraged the people in Jerusalem to re-start the building program which they had abandoned 16 years previously to complete the temple.
Those who had, under the proclamation of Cyrus, returned to Jerusalem began by repairing the altar and laying the foundation of the temple, now have built their homes, farmed their land and built their economy.
What about the temple? An unfinished building that shows what happens when fear overtakes.
Haggai now tells the people, the Lord says, "Consider your ways!"
Something to think about?
